StockSwipe was built with a strict "privacy-by-design" philosophy, ensuring that your inventory data, barcode scans, and session records remain securely in your hands at all times. This Privacy Policy outlines our transparent practices regarding data handling when you use the StockSwipe iOS application.
2. Data Collection and Local Storage
StockSwipe operates entirely offline with a local storage model.
- 100% Offline: The app functions entirely without an internet connection. All barcode scanning, session management, quantity tracking, and statistics computation happen locally on your device.
- Local Device Storage: All of the information the app stores—including your scanned barcodes, inventory sessions, quantities, notes, and export history—is stored exclusively and locally on your iPhone.
- No Account Required: StockSwipe does not require any sign-up, login, or account creation. You can start scanning immediately without providing any personal information.
- No Cloud Servers: UNISHOP LLC does not operate any external servers or cloud databases for StockSwipe. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.
- No Data Harvesting: We do not collect, read, analyze, or transmit any of your data. Because we never possess your data, we will never sell or share it with third parties.
3. Camera Usage
StockSwipe uses your device's camera exclusively for real-time barcode scanning.
- On-Device Processing: All barcode detection and recognition (EAN-13, UPC-E, Code 128) is performed locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No camera feed, image, or video is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted.
- Permission-Based: Camera access requires your explicit permission via the standard iOS prompt. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device's Settings.
- No Remote Processing: We do not use any cloud-based image recognition services. All scanning is processed entirely on your iPhone.
4. Analytics and Tracking
We respect your privacy and device performance. StockSwipe intentionally excludes all third-party tracking algorithms and analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.). We do not monitor your behavior within the app. Zero tracking, zero analytics, zero ads—by design.
5. Data Export and Sharing
StockSwipe allows you to export your inventory data as CSV files.
- User-Initiated Only: Data export only occurs when you explicitly choose to share or export your session data. The app never sends data automatically.
- Native iOS Sharing: Exports use Apple's native share sheet (AirDrop, Mail, Messages, Files). UNISHOP LLC has no access to the exported files or their destinations.
- Your Responsibility: Once you export data via the share sheet, the privacy of that data is governed by the services you choose to share it through (e.g., your email provider, AirDrop recipient).
6. Pricing and Premium
StockSwipe offers unlimited free scanning alongside an optional Pro upgrade for CSV export.
- Free Forever: Unlimited barcode scanning, multi-session management, search, and statistics are available at no cost with no time limit.
- Optional Pro: StockSwipe Pro unlocks CSV export functionality. It is available as a monthly subscription ($1.99/month, cancel anytime) or a one-time lifetime purchase ($9.99).
- Secure Transactions: All Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed natively via Apple's secure StoreKit framework and your personal Apple ID.
- Financial Privacy: UNISHOP LLC does not process your payment and has zero access to your sensitive financial information (such as credit card numbers or billing addresses). We simply receive an anonymous digital token from Apple confirming the transaction.
7. Children's Privacy
StockSwipe is designed for professionals and business use. The app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally and no account creation is required, no personal data is ever transmitted to us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our app's features or legal requirements. Because we do not collect your email address or contact information, we cannot notify you individually. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
