Welcome to Revi-Forêt (also marketed as "Brevet fédéral · Garde-forestier CH" in French and "Berufsprüfung · Förster/in CH" in German)! At UNISHOP LLC, we take your privacy and the security of your personal data very seriously. Revi-Forêt was built with a strict "privacy-by-design" philosophy. Your study progress, exam results, and preferences remain securely in your hands at all times. This Privacy Policy outlines our transparent practices regarding data handling when you use the Revi-Forêt iOS application.

Revi-Forêt is a native iOS learning application designed to help Swiss candidates prepare for the Swiss federal forest ranger professional examination ("brevet fédéral de garde-forestier" in French or "Berufsprüfung Förster/in" in German). The app provides a fully bilingual (French / Swiss Standard German) multiple-choice question bank of 220+ questions per language covering the eight official examination modules: Forest legislation (LFo/WaG, OFo/WaV), Silviculture and stand management, Dendrology (40+ tree and shrub species), Forest protection (biotic and abiotic), Forest work and safety, Forest wildlife and biodiversity, Dendrometric measurements and calculations, and Forest planning. Beyond the quiz engine, the app includes a complete reference library (key articles of the Federal Forest Act, 150+ bilingual forestry glossary terms, dendrometric formulas with worked examples), field tools (basal area calculator, Huber/Newton/Smalian volume formulas, stems-per-hectare extrapolation), five operational field checklists (surveillance, thinning planning, harvest acceptance, protection-forest inspection, post-storm control), an interactive species determination key, five technical Canvas schematics, and 25 professional terrain scenarios. 2. Data Collection and Local Storage

Revi-Forêt does not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, or share any personal data. The app operates with a fully local storage model and works 100% offline — a critical requirement for field professionals working in remote forest areas without mobile coverage.

• Local Device Storage: All data is stored exclusively and locally on your iPhone using Apple's native SwiftData framework and UserDefaults. Nothing is sent to any external server.
• No Account Required: Revi-Forêt does not require any sign-up, login, email address, password, or account creation. You can start training immediately without providing any personal information.
• No Cloud Servers: UNISHOP LLC does not operate any external servers, cloud databases, or custom backends for Revi-Forêt. Your data never leaves your device. There is no cloud. There is no backend.
• No Personal Identifiers: We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
• No Data Harvesting: We do not collect, read, analyze, or transmit any of your data. Because we never possess your data, we will never sell or share it with third parties.
• No Telemetry & Analytics: We do not collect usage statistics, crash logs, or any performance metrics.
• No Ads or Tracking: The app contains no advertisements, no Apple IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) tracking, and no tracking pixels or SDKs.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

For transparency, here is a complete list of data that Revi-Forêt stores locally on your device:

• Question Progress and Errors: Per-question correct/incorrect history and a persistent error list (the question IDs you answered incorrectly), used by the "Recent errors" revision mode to let you specifically re-train your weak points.
• Per-Category Statistics: Number of questions seen, number of correct answers, and last access date for each of the twelve quiz categories (Legislation, Silviculture, Deciduous, Conifers, Biotic protection, Abiotic protection, Wildlife, Forest work, Dendrometry, Planning, Biodiversity, Terrain situations).
• Session History: Date, mode used, category, number of questions, number of correct answers, duration, and language for each completed quiz session — used to display your learning curve in the Statistics tab.
• Daily Free-Tier Counter: A counter tracking the number of free quiz sessions consumed today (limited to 3 sessions of 10 questions per day on the free tier). Automatically reset at local midnight.
• User Preferences: Active language (French/German), regional preference (Suisse romande / Deutschschweiz) for cantonal references, daily reminder enabled state and chosen time, and onboarding completion state.
• Bookmarks (Favorites): Species, legal articles, and theoretical fact sheets you have flagged as favorites for quick retrieval.
• Field Checklists: State of each operational field checklist (which items you have ticked, optional remarks per item, optional location notes per item, and the general date/location header). Designed to let you fill out a checklist offline during a field round and copy the result as a text report when back at the office.
• Premium Status: Your Pro status, validated locally via Apple's secure StoreKit framework (no remote validation server).

All of this data is stored in the application's local container using SwiftData and UserDefaults. It is automatically and permanently deleted by the iOS operating system when you uninstall the app.

4. Analytics and Third-Party SDKs

We respect your privacy and device performance. Revi-Forêt intentionally excludes all third-party tracking algorithms and analytics SDKs (such as Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Facebook SDK, Google Analytics, or RevenueCat). We do not monitor your behavior within the app. Zero tracking, zero analytics, zero ads — by design.

5. Apple Privacy Manifest

Revi-Forêt includes a PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest as required by Apple, declaring the following:

• UserDefaults (NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryUserDefaults): Used for storing user preferences locally on the device (reason CA92.1).
• Tracking: None. The app does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because there is nothing to track.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Revi-Forêt operates on a freemium model. Free users have access to 3 daily quiz sessions of 10 questions each, a curated selection of 6 species per type (conifers / deciduous / shrubs), full read access to the key articles of the Federal Forest Act and the complete bilingual forestry glossary, the basic basal area calculator and unit converter, the interactive species determination key, the memo cards, and personal statistics. Pro users unlock unlimited quiz sessions, the official federal exam simulator (80 questions in 120 minutes), all 40+ dendrology species cards, the advanced dendrometric calculators (Huber, Newton, Smalian, stems-per-hectare extrapolation), all five operational field checklists with report export, all five technical Canvas schematics, and the thematic quiz modes (terrain situations, dendrometric calculations).

  No annual plan is offered. The two-tier structure is intentionally simple: monthly for trial users, lifetime for serious candidates who will use the app throughout their 12-to-18-month preparation and as a field reference after passing the exam.

• Secure Transactions: All purchase transactions are processed exclusively via Apple's secure StoreKit framework and your personal Apple ID.
• Financial Privacy: UNISHOP LLC does not process your payment and has zero access to your sensitive financial information (such as credit card numbers or billing addresses). The app only receives confirmation from Apple, and UNISHOP LLC receives only aggregated sales reports (such as country and purchase volumes) that contain absolutely no personally identifying information. Apple's privacy policy applies for the payment part: apple.com/legal/privacy.
• Purchase Restoration: You can restore your purchases at any time through the app from Settings → Restore my purchases or directly from the paywall screen. This process communicates exclusively with Apple's servers — never with UNISHOP LLC.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings or the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The lifetime purchase is a single one-time payment with no renewal.

7. Notifications

Revi-Forêt offers a single, fully optional feature based on local notifications: a daily revision reminder at a time of your choosing (default 19:00). This feature is disabled by default and can be enabled or disabled at any moment from Settings → Daily reminder, or set up during onboarding.

• Local Notifications Only: Reminders are scheduled and triggered entirely by the iOS operating system itself using Apple's UserNotifications framework. No data is sent to any external server. No push token is generated. No backend is involved.
• Explicit Opt-In: The first time you enable the reminder, iOS will ask for your explicit permission to display notifications. You can revoke this permission at any time from iOS Settings → Notifications → Revi-Forêt.
• Single, Recurring Schedule: A single notification per day at the time you configure (bilingual message — "Révisez une espèce forestière aujourd'hui 🌲" / "Heute eine Baumart lernen 🌲" depending on your selected language). No marketing notifications, no promotional alerts, ever.

8. Intended Audience and Age Restrictions

Revi-Forêt is designed for adult learners preparing for a Swiss federal professional certification. The Berufsprüfung Förster/in is a regulated professional examination (Brevet fédéral / Eidgenössischer Fachausweis) organised under the supervision of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SEFRI / SBFI), with the curriculum coordinated by CODOC for the forestry sector. Candidates are typically active professionals (forest wardens, foresters, forestry workers) with several years of field experience pursuing career advancement. The app is rated 4+ in the App Store because its content is purely educational and contains no objectionable material, but it is targeted at adults preparing for a regulated professional examination.

9. Educational Disclaimer

The legal, dendrological, and silvicultural content of Revi-Forêt is provided for strictly educational and revision purposes. It is based on Swiss federal legislation in force as of 2026 — primarily the Federal Forest Act (Loi sur les forêts / Waldgesetz, LFo/WaG, SR 921.0), the Forest Ordinance (Ordonnance sur les forêts / Waldverordnung, OFo/WaV, SR 921.01), the Federal Hunting Act (LChP/JSG) where it intersects with forest wildlife management, and SUVA safety guidelines for forest work — supplemented by the publicly available scientific literature of the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL) and the policy documents of the Federal Office for the Environment (OFEV / BAFU), including the NaiS standard for protection-forest management. While we strive for accuracy and cite specific legal articles wherever possible, the application does not constitute legal, silvicultural, or safety advice and should not be relied upon as such. 10. Your Rights & Data Control (GDPR / Swiss nLPD)

Revi-Forêt is designed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD).

Since UNISHOP LLC does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, there is no personal data held by us. Therefore, rights of access, rectification, or erasure do not apply at our level because we do not possess any of your data. Instead, you have total direct control over your data:

• Reset Progress: You can reset all your learning statistics, session history, and error list at any time directly in the app from Settings → Reset progress or from Statistics → Reset statistics.
• Reset Checklists: Each operational field checklist can be reset independently from its own detail screen (clears all ticks, remarks and locations).
• Complete Deletion: You can delete all locally stored data — including bookmarks, statistics, error history, and checklist content — simply by uninstalling the application from your iOS device.

11. Content Sources and Attributions

The legal, dendrological, and technical content of Revi-Forêt is written in-house by UNISHOP LLC based on publicly available Swiss federal legislation (LFo/WaG, OFo/WaV) and on established scientific and pedagogical literature on Swiss forestry: the publications and field guides of the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL); the directives, policy papers, and the NaiS methodology (Nachhaltigkeit und Erfolgskontrolle im Schutzwald) of the Federal Office for the Environment (OFEV / BAFU); the SUVA safety guidelines for forest work; the federal forest ranger curriculum coordinated by CODOC; and standard dendrology references for Central European tree and shrub species. All texts are paraphrased and accompanied by precise article citations where applicable. The app does not include any third-party copyrighted images, videos, audio, or fonts beyond the standard Apple SF Pro and SF Symbols system resources — all illustrations (the five technical Canvas schematics: vertical forest structure, silvicultural cycle, diameter distribution, bark beetle cycle, trunk cross-section) are vector-drawn programmatically using SwiftUI's Canvas API.

12. App Store Compliance

In accordance with Section 5.1 (Privacy) of the App Store Review Guidelines, Revi-Forêt provides this policy to clearly disclose what data the application collects, how that data is used, and how you can manage or delete your data.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our app's features or legal requirements. Because we do not collect your email address or contact information, we cannot notify you individually. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Any modifications take effect immediately upon being posted on this site.
